THE OLYMPIC GAMES

The Olympic games are held in Rio this year there are many sports like Volleyball,Rowing,horse jumping and lots more. The games will start on the 6.7.16 and will go to 22.7.16 I know it only goes for 16 days and the athletes train for most of their lives.

The first Olympics started on April 6 1896. Did you know that in 1972 six athletes from the Olympics got killed and maybe even 11 more.

The city is Rio in Brazil. Brazil is a very big city. It is just days until the game will start and the water way are filthy and it is putting 1400 athletes in risk of get seriously ill. There are 199 New Zealand competitors going to the games. Most athletes are already in Rio training.

What I am going to watch and why

I love rugby and I am going to watch a lot of it this weekend I am going to watch it because The sevens are a lot more different than rugby. I am also going to watch rowing because two of my cousins do it and sometimes I watch them and I am going to do it when I go to college. I am going to watch some horse jumping because when I go to fishing club in Ngatea there are TAB’s and I tell Dad what number to do when the horses are racing.
