Hi my name is Cade and I am going to tell you which flag I chose and why. I chose the new flag because I like the way that it had the silver fern on it and black was right beside it. It also had blue on it as well and it had the stars on it. Even though the old flag won I am still going to say that I wanted a change. Think about it. It would have been good to have a change. Mum, Dad and My brother also wanted to have a change. Maybe another year there will be another chance for a change. I also liked another flag but it was not one of the two favourites. I also wanted the flag to change because it looks exactly the same as Australia’s. It would of cost heaps of money though to get a new flag that we can spend on other staff to improve New Zealand. Like Help get homes for homeless people. The same flag still stands tho and it might never change. The new flag also does not have the union jack on it either. But then the old flag does not have the silver fern on it.
